Q. Why has CNN taken anchor Aaron Brown off the air? - G.M.

A. CNN decided to shift its focus from Brown to Anderson Cooper, who is seen as the network's rising star. Brown and CNN mutually agreed that it was time to part ways, CNN/U.S. President Jon Klein told the Associated Press.

In a separate AP interview, Brown said that he might be interested in returning to the anchor desk at another network some day, but that he was in no hurry and was enjoying his time off. He is being paid for his estimated $1.5-million-plus contract, which runs until July 2007.

Brown's last day with CNN was Nov. 2.

THAT'S FUNNY the last time Aaron Brown's NewsNight aired was on October 28th.
