I have yet to witness a more bigoted and racist hour of NewsNight to date. It could easily be called the Evangelical Religious Right Calamity Hour with Aaron Brown the Jewish Guy.
The hour exhibited only one live interview, which has always been Aaron's strong suit. The minutes breakdown like this:

Aaron 23 minutes - live 7 minutes, of those 4 minutes was spent with an interview of a Religious Right Promoter who probably believes in the cause as it is a paycheck for him, William Greene, President of The Right to Life. He's a quack. Aaron was allowed to make the statement there are reasonable people who differ with his extremist point of view. Now, because I used strong words, Sharon 'Ms. Bigot' von Zwieten will change the tone of the program tomorrow to estrange people even further. See reasonable people do see this hideous situation as exactly that, hideous and your Executive Producer status no different than hideous as well.
The Evangelical Religious Right Calamity Hour began with the Terry Schivo Calamity. The Religious Right rejects everything civilized medicine has to offer and sees Microcephalics as having a place in society without even so much as a thought about abortion prior to birth.
There was a time in this society when we grappled with defining when death occurs as the body doesn't scream out, "Hey, I died." That point was when the heart stopped. Medicine could not discern at that time that the heart had it's own electrical system and would beat far beyond the functioning of the brain. Then came x-rays and we began to see functioning differently. Today, with PET Scans and MRI's as well as CAT scans that functioning can be determined and a person who is 'brain dead' can also be considered dead. At that point supportive systems are removed from the body and they are allowed to complete dying as Mrs. Schivo did.
The second calamity was regarding a very sad situation whereby a happy couple expecting a baby found the wife of this young marriage suffering from a brain tumor that was a metastasized growth of melanoma. The issue was then keeping the woman alive until the fetus was old enough at 25 weeks for C-section and incubation in a nursery. Then the wife could be removed from life support and allowed to die. The concern is that the infant could be effected by the melanoma as well. It is the saddest situation I have heard for a young man who had high hopes for a family in his life.
The third calamity was regarding toddlers with ADHD and their difficult placement in Pre-School. The strangest fact was the private and faith based pre-schools were the ones throwing the kids out. Has anyone ever heard of baby sitters?
Now, we are still on the subject of women and children. A place this news hour, until the ratings grabbing Michael Jackson programs, is STUCK. Ms. Bigot just never seems to grow up or grow out of child rearing into adulthood. Ridiculous !!
The fourth calamity was the tsunami alarm which provided to be invaluable. It gave everyone a reason to 'drill' at the very least exposing the strengths of the population of Crescent City as well as marginal weaknesses. In my opinion a 15 minute evacuation of a hotel is too long but obviously the best the hotel proprietor could do. It told me there would be causalities anyway unless the tsunami was a greater distance than this one was. I also would not completely dismiss a 'Slip Fault' as nothing to worry about, as it displaces water as well. I am confident that was a tsunami that came to Crescent City but only a minor one this time.
Then there was a 'On the Rise' designer neckwear segment which lifted spirits. That was enjoyable without a burden to realize the value of this young man's enthusiasm for life. Very nice. That segment as well as "Morning Papers" is a left over from David Bohrman's invluence.
Then the fifth calamity was a "Then and Now' segment and you guessed it A woman and child segment regarding the Okalahoma City Bombing.
The show ended with the bigotry of Ms. Von Zwieten AGAIN with 'Morning Papers' lead by the Christian Science Monitor THE ONLY RELIGIOUS RAG ever presented with it's biased Neocon values of war and only war as a cure for all ills in the world.
The ENTIRE PROGRAM is AGAIN back to being completely caucasian, not even the commercials have nay minorities. The socially redeeming commercials that were a once valuable aspect of this program has been abandoned and the return to advocating value of Bush's cronies overrides everything else.
These people are self-righteous religious racists just as their ancestors from the South. They have nothing to offer society and no wonder the world hates the USA as it does. The ONLY 'thing' NewsNight is about now is sympathy seeking by women who have little identity except their uterus.
