Anderson Cooper mimics Aaron Brown Style

Anderson Cooper is not narrating his own pre-program advertisements.

That was taken away from Aaron a long time ago.

Talk about age discrimination? For all I know it might be Aaron's value system that is more the issue as well. I know he would never consent to the tactics of AC360.

Just the facts please. Judith Miller retired for a reason.

Jordan - stop speculating. You don't know anything about who did this. As a matter of fact given all the issues with Syria I tend to think this is Hezbollah as with Hariri and not al Qaeda.

Hezbollah is being squeezed and it would not surprise me at all that this is in response to the pressure in the region by the UN in regard to Hariri's investigation. Iraq is not my first thought.

There are a lot of possiblities, including this guy.

Israelis evacuated from Amman hotel hours before bombings
By
Yoav Stern, Haaretz Correspondent
A number of Israelis staying on Wednesday at the Radisson hotel were evacuated before the bombing by Jordanian security forces, apparently due to a specific security alert. They were escorted back to Israel by security personnel.
The Foreign Ministry stated Wednesday that no Israeli tourists are known to have been injured in the blasts. Representatives of Israel's embassy in Amman were in contact with local authorities to examine any report of injured Israelis, but none were received. There are often a number of Israeli businessman and tourists in Amman, including in the hotels hit Wednesday.
Israel's counter-terror headquarters on Wednesday recommended Israeli citizens not travel in Jordan. Travel warnings regarding Jordan were tightened a few months ago, but many Israelis still visit the country. Many also visit other regions such as the Jordanian Arava and the ancient city of Petra.

Hezbollah man said behind 1994 Argentine Jewish center attack
By The Associated Press
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - A Hezbollah militant has been identified as the suicide bomber who detonated a van packed with explosives, leveling a Jewish community center and killing 85 people in Argentina's worst terrorist attack, a prosecutor said Wednesday.
Prosecutor Alberto Nisman said in a television interview that Ibrahim Hussein Berro, a Lebanese citizen, allegedly carried out the 1994 attack in downtown Buenos Aires, which shook the country's more than 200,000-member Jewish population.
Nisman, who is in charge of investigating the attack, said Hussein "belonged to Hezbollah," an Iranian-backed Islamic militant group. He said friends and relatives of the man identified him through a photograph - a major breakthrough in the decade-old probe.

Syria slaps travel ban on Hariri case officials

By Duraid Al Baik, Foreign Editor
Damascus: Syria has banned from leaving the country those people whose names were mentioned in a recent UN report on an inquiry into the murder of Rafik Hariri, an official said yesterday.
The Syrian inquest into the February 14 assassination of the former Lebanese premier “has begun to question those people named in the report” by German magistrate Detlev Mehlis “as well as in the letter the judge sent to Damascus on the matter of questioning Syrians,” spokes-man Ebrahim Al Darraji was quoted as saying by AFP.

The torture of the USA in Iraqi. Yeah, I know they killed people. They didn't know what they were doing and they didn't care. As a matter of fact they enjoyed the fact people were tortured to death. That is completely evident by the pictures and smiles and jokes the pictures told. They had no respect for life. At all. That's American? I don't think so. That is Cheney though.

Iran means what it says about Israel

By Amir Taheri, Special to Gulf News
Surprised by the radical reformulation of Iran's foreign policy by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, many commentators in the West have tried to either dismiss it as hyperbole or a suicidal desire to provoke conflict.
Seen from Tehran, however, the picture looks somewhat different.
This became evident during separate conversations in Paris last week with two senior former officials of the Islamic Republic who have decided to spend sometime in exile "until the dust settles" back home.

Annan seeks to allay Arab fears over Syria

CAIRO (AFP) — UN Secretary General Kofi Annan sought Tuesday in Cairo to assuage Arab fears over possible action against Syria but urged Damascus to cooperate fully with the international probe into the assassination of former Lebanese premier Rafiq Hariri.
"The message must go out that impunity will not be allowed and I think for most of the [UN Security] Council members, that is the objective and that will be enough," he told reporters.
He was speaking after talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit, on the second day of a visit during which he is also due to meet President Hosni Mubarak.
"I would expect and urge Syria to continue its cooperation with the investigation," Annan said.
The UN Security Council last week passed Resolution 1636, urging Syria to cooperate with UN chief investigator Detlev Mehlis or face the consequences.

'Tel Aviv exploiting pressure on Damascus'

DAMASCUS (AP) — Syria accused Israel on Tuesday of seeking to exploit intense US-led pressure on Damascus to reject calls for peace talks over the occupied Golan Heights.
"Israeli officials are trying to exploit the wave of political, media and psychological pressure on Syria in order to express in a rude manner their hostile attitudes towards Syria," Syrian Information Minister Mahdi Dakhlallah said in a statement carried by SANA, the official news agency.
He was reacting to a statement attributed to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Monday in which he said that he would not negotiate with Syria on the return of the Israeli-occupied strategic high ground.

HOW to be a suicide bomber - this is not Indonesia. This guy is real? We don't know this. He is saying religion has nothing to do with the bombing and it is all strategic and political. Why? Because the suicide bombers are acting on political basis in their religious beliefs. A DEEP ANGER AT THE PRESENCE OF FOREIGN COMBAT FORCES. That isn't religious based? I think he is making a case out of symantics. The only benefit to going in this direction is to build a stronger case to leave Iraq. The reason to leave Iraq is because al Qaeda is using it as a training ground for incidents like this. So if we are to 'disconnect' from the religious fanatic as a reason for these attacks then it could literally be a chosen methodology to attack without distinction to affiliation. We actually see that? I don’t know. That is 'learned' behavior then of people very desperate for an end to an anger. I think this goes beyond that.

Al-Qaida threatens to revenge al-Qaem operations
Iraq, Military, 11/9/2005
Al-Qaida organization in Iraq led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi threatened to launch a campaign of "revenge" in west Iraq after the end of the grace period he gave to the American and Iraqi forces to stop the so-called "iron curtain" campaign they launched since Saturday on the border with Syria.
For the fourth running day, the American attacks continue in collaboration with several groups of the Iraqi forces against al-Qaem area in al-Anbar governorate.
The American army announced on Tuesday that its forces killed five gunmen and detained ten when they broke into a house used by members of al-Qaida organization near Ramadi city.
Earlier the American army said it killed 36 gunmen and detained 200 since the beginning of the operation.

WASHINGTON -- Ahmed Chalabi, the guileful Iraqi politician enmeshed in a row over Iraq war intelligence, resurfaces in Washington this week, at an embarrassing moment for the Bush administration.
Chalabi, in his latest incarnation as an Iraqi deputy prime minister, is due to meet Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday and deliver his first speech in the US capital for two-and-a-half years.
But there will be no meeting with President George W. Bush. A White House spokesman said on Saturday that the president will not be meeting with visiting Iraqi candidates until the December elections are over.

Explosions rip Radisson SAS, the Grand Hyatt and Days Inn hotels; more than 115 injured, mostly Jordanians
By Alia Shukri Hamzeh with agency dispatches
AMMAN — Explosions on Wednesday ripped through three Amman hotels, killing at least 57 people and injuring more than 115, mostly Jordanians, Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muasher said.
The first ever suicide attacks in Jordan targeted Radisson SAS and the Grand Hyatt hotels — both only a block from each other in a commercial and residential Jabal Amman District — as well as Days Inn in Rabia area.
In the deadliest blast, a suicide bomber blew himself up just after 9:00pm in a ballroom at the Radisson SAS while a Jordanian wedding reception was under way, Muasher, also government spokesperson, told reporters.
