One of the most searing images on September 11, 2011 was that of Aaron Brown talking the nation through the traumatic event on CNN.

He and David Bohrman stood the post on the roof of their media building while the nation watched unbelievable images.

When I heard of the death of Osama bin Laden I had wondered what Aaron Brown was thinking and doing nearly ten years later.  I wasn't the only one.

Ten years ago, (click here) Aaron Brown worked all day at CNN, broadcasting from a rooftop with the smoke from the World Trade Center in the background. Many Americans got the terrible news from him that day; now he typifies how news delivery is changing in explaining how he first heard bin Laden was dead.

"I was at dinner here and my phone beeped," said Brown, who now teaches journalism at Arizona State University in Tempe.
