Minimizing Aaron Brown's LIVE presence on NewsNight

This was the e-mail from 3/13/05 that raised warning about the diminished live apperanace of Aaron Brown on NewsNight.

Reruns are the order for NewsNight these days. I do believe there is a level of trust that is gone. It’s probably appropriate. I sincerely believe you executive producer has minimally a fetish. Definitely discriminatory.

This evening the breakdown was:

Commercial Interruption :: 20 minutes

Others reporting :: 28 minutes

Aaron Reporting :: 12 minutes, approximately 8 minutes live

The control of information is unfortunate. Tonight there was a change in legitimacy in that there were two segments regarding the fraudulent nature of Bush's Administration regarding Global Warming and the Iraq war in the Downing Street Memo. There was also a segment regarding the insightfulness although unpalatable nature of Howard Dean that brought forward a controversial Democratic Party authority without condesending criticism but more 'the truth.' That was a unique experience for NewsNight, actually watching the truth tonight was endearingly refreshing. I'll be darn. In reviewing most of the program I can't say there was a majority of truth telling this evening including the horrible seige of weather of the USA as of late. Better presentation this evening, less of Aaron, strange priorities in choice of advertisers.
