More Propaganda from the CNN NewsNight staff...
... and I do mean propaganda. I don't consider media a game. I take it seriously as does most Americans.
... no doubt the two issues of bigotry and oppression they dodged last night because the opinion opposing was 'too hot' will appear tonight.
That is their pattern.
The Anti-Arab segement about organ transplants and then whatever Beth Nissan does is always about co-dependency in relationships and depowers women painting them into the 'housewifey' corner.
So, we are going to look at a "Hot Topic" but it will never be the last fashion or the least bit of skin as the conservatism they practice is intended to be oppressive and not frugal but more the California Wildfires. These fires always start because the forest is too dry. It doesn't matter the 'reason' that initiated the fire such as a lightning strike, tossed match, cigarette or a neglected camp fire; they occur because the area is too dry. So, tonight CNN will try to embarrass the 'system' because homes are on the fire line and not just precious wilderness.
The Executive Producer continues the assertion that Nagin Land is the issue and not the storm and FEMA by public trial. As stated better than a week ago there was an electrical generator taken by police officers by Tulane Hospital. I don't know if that was pre or post evacuation.
I made this assertion last night in my notes:
"I can't stop thinking about those police officers. I wouldn't get my hopes up in finding them guilty. They are going to say they were accumulating items that were in danger of being stolen. Looted. They chose a hotel with plenty of 'warehouse' space under eminent domaine. They'll justify the refrigerator extention cord to survival and any aggression on their part of others to stop any chance people would get the idea they could pilfer the 'warehouse' space. This especially if nothing was sold and is inventoried and accounted for. When you think about it. They were patrolling at night and preventing crime in stores that no longer had alarm systems and all that. I don't know, Aaron. When it comes to issues like this and especially with a storm like this with extraordinary circumstances with miniorities there is a lot of issues in 'pointing fingers' on unsubstantiated evidence. The film, the witnesses are all unsubstantiated claims to a crime. It is circumstantial at this point. Without the proof that there was intent to sell those items for profit I don't think there is a case.
You have to be careful about this stuff."
So, here again and because Ms. Bigot feels she had the 'inside track' to minority crime she wants a public trial to bring public opinion to a police force who has experienced more than their fair share of issue.
I don't approve. It's no different than the reporting on FOX with reports of 'looters.' They reported 'those people' were stealing and looting while caucasian people were receiving relief.

Similar issues were scattered across the news media. They are all guilty.
The problem here is that Ms. Bigot von Zwieten has a documented history of hatred and in this case she refuses to allow the City of New Orleans to handle their own investigation as it is a majority Black investigation and believes this is all a cover up.
The statement I made above is unedited. It is what I told this staff last night after the broadcast. When I stated "You have to be careful about this stuff." it was not that Blacks got away with it so much as one has to do a self examination of the assertions of wrong doing to be sure it is not biased based.
I look forward to Richard Pennington's insight but on the other hand he didn't ride out the storm after the storm. If these police officers are guilty I am sure the returning citizens will not stand for anything less than an accounting for it.
The staff is 'jumping for joy' about John Roberts and calling it a victory.
I didn't think he was elected and he wasn't voted for just by Repuglicans. So, the word 'victory' bothers me. If Mr. Roberts went through the process and received a majority vote; then what is the victory? An agenda of hatred of the people of this country who enjoy life in a different way from Evangelical Christians as herself?
So, a month after Katrina we still aren't calling Waveland the town where the 'Eye' of the storm made landfall and we are still calling NewsNight a 'Special Edition.' Ms. Bigot is promising a 'busy' two hour speacial.
I don't think it is all that busy as more than one third of those two hours is commercials on a cable network.

I am so tired of this do-do.
They are AGAIN making analogies that are inappropriate in trying to bring hideous pressure on the New Orleans Police Department by making statements about past offences of officers that are on death row.
Well.
Consider this.
I am not saying that they are racial convictions but are they? I really don't know but I do know 'police brutality' that results in innocent people being killed happens all over this nation and not just in New Orleans.

There were similar incidents in Riverside, California, Charlotte, N.C., and on the New Jersey Turnpike. In Philadelphia, four more African Americans have been killed by police this year. For instance, in January, Erin Forbes was shot in the heart by Lower Merion police as he returned home from his night job. He was surrounded by at least five fully-armed officers, yet the police story was that he threatened them with a stick.
There is a national epidemic of police violence. It has escalated with the CIA-linked, influx of drugs into many areas in an attempt to poison the youth. Many of the victims of police brutality have committed no crimes, but are attacked because they are Black, Latino, poor or young. Millions are victims of racial harassment and discrimination. African Americans continue to feel the full weight of racist US capitalism upon their backs.
The rage that rises up in all black Americans and all racial minorities against their conditions is met with the repression of the racist police force and the legal system. Increasingly, in African American and Latino communities, people fear the police more than the criminals. This is directly due to the repressive actions of the police themselves, who are getting away with murder - literally.

Your producers have you up against Nancy Grane at 10PM chasing down missing young women. I thought she was on at 8 o'clock.
Seems to me someone is squeezing you about something.
They give you Anderson Cooper and disasters to cover in order to baby sit NewsNight while they rough you up with Nancy Grace.
I don't Aaron, the entire dynamics doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me when one considers the 'industry' isn't happy with the lies by Henry and we are looking at undetermined racism with unsubstantiated allogations.

It would seem as though Ms. Hill on Headline News took my advise about enhancing male-female communications seriously in the hour previous to NewsNight in discussion about 'co-habitating.'
I should open a CNN counceling and advisory service.
