The slide of NewsNight into old habits is to find success for DC by awakening old political strategies. It won't work. The nation is moving on and leaving Bush behind. The old strategies are an insult.

There was the Pope Segment at 10:28 that was an embellished view of the choice of a Pope. Ms. Bigot von Zwieten tried to 'water down' this overt and blatant disregard of any other faith on the planet by 'briefly' mentioning the new Pope, what's his name, oh yeah, Bennie. Pope Bennie went to visit some Jews somewhere to let them know even though he is more like a Nazi than Pope John Paul II was there were no plans to change the policies of the Vatican. Boy, I betcha every Jew still breathing on Earth was relieved to hear that from NewsNight tonight. Sharon actually feels she can look at Jews as people not to kill. Wow !
The fact is the 'mention' of the Pope and Jews was due to my protest in a response to Aaron's e-mail:

Others took 24 minutes including a repeated taped segment regarding the violation of women's rights when a pharmacist gets confused with his role as a LICENSED professional and an obsessive compulsicve man practicing his personal faith….
The final point to bring to attention with this entry, is the 'Honored Soldier Segment'

The Honored Soldier segment has limited the number of dead American military to two per night to minimize the impact of the many, many dead with a toll that is rising.
Tonight it was age 34 Osbey and age 32 Bell-Johnson.
Yesterday, Wednesday it was Arciola, age 20 and Hendrix, age 28.
Tuesday it was a 22 year old who's name I did not catch in time to record and age 21 Carter.
Monday a 22 year old and age 21 Gooding.
There was no Honor Segment on May 31st, the traditional Memorial Day. Sharon is a sick woman.
The last time NewsNight tried to 'catch up' with the American Dead Military was Friday, May 27th the celebrated Memorial Day; with these fine people; age 19 Perez, Mr. Shepard age 26, McNeal age 30, Rangel age 29 and 26 Mr. Lake. I missed one name that night.
If you look for these names on the Transcripts of NewsNight you won't find them but you will find items like, ""DAN QUAYLE: CNN, happy 25th anniversary."
I am used to honorable treatment of the dead and not the disregarding of them. I am used to thinking a segment dedicated to honoring the dead would want to display as many of the dead as soon as they can. That for Sharon 'the Neocon Bigot' is a burden and embarrassment to the poor initiatives of her President who's popularity cannot stand up to it's reality.
