Bush apologizes for demeanor

1002

About time. His behavior on all fronts has been deplorable as has been his priorities. It is astounding the people of Afghanistan are suffering from such deep poverty even after 4 and a half years of American occupation of that country. It's a darn shame and only now there is a humbler president. What a mess. He should never have allowed Richard Cheney to dominate his choice for Vice President or allowed the Executive Branch to become an enemy of the people of this country. Sorry, but, apologies and regrets come too late and more Americans die everyday in Afghanistan and Iraq based on poor priorities based on inflated egos of self-righteousness. The domination of the Republican Party in the House and Congress as inspired by this Executive Branch turned into a Culture of Corruption. We have no need for corruption in a country that finds itself in the crosshairs of terrorist networks.

Iraq does not need a First World military. It is wrong to place a world class military anywhere in the Middle East. It is far to volitile to ever expect a 'Little USA' in the region.

Those are the American statistics, but, the Iraqi statistics are far more dramatic. I believe the article I read stated there were 1100 death certificants issued weekly in Iraqi hospitals of dead civilians during the month of March. At that rate it would place 50,000 dead per year making Saddam less deadly then the war.

1014

For the past year Baghdad's morgue has received on average 50 bodies a day, many of them brutally tortured, almost none that have died from natural causes. Morgue staff reported to an Iraqi collegue the average is now over 85 and that they recently received 480 bodies in one day alone-the highest number still remains 1,100 in one day last July.

This 'campaign' rhetoric of Republicans is getting boring. Where is the latest about Barbaro?

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. -- Barbaro is showing his usual feistiness as he recovers from his shattered leg in the Preakness, and the Kentucky Derby winner is being showered with gifts - from flowers to religious ornaments.
The 3-year-old bay colt eagerly greeted a treat-bearing doctor Thursday morning, delighting on the fresh baby carrots she had brought.

Barbaro's winning ways will be left to offspring

ON THE MEND. Dr. Dean Richardson turns Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro in his stall in the intensive care unit. Doctors say the colt is recuperating well since pulling up lame.

Amid the public outpouring of sympathy for Barbaro and his owners' hopes that "someday all of you will be able to see little Barbaros running around the track," there remains an underlying question:
Would all this money and time be spent on a horse's recovery if he were not the Kentucky Derby winner and expected to gain millions in stud fees?

The House is more than likely hoping 'sympathy' comes their way now that they are being spied on by Georgie Bush, too.

Pat Robertson can lift a ton of weight with his legs. Dear God, don't do that again, Anderson. Gerry is stressed with that effort. Take care of yourself, Gerry. Pat Robertson 'gets' press from his outrageous claims chronically when he shouldn't. Don't ever do that again, Gerry.

That was dangerous for Gerry. You know body builders are muscular because of the repeation of their muscules. They are not world class weight lifters.

Enron FINALLY came to an end. Enron was part of the Cheney Energy Committee. Where is Cheney in all this?
