Who do you all think you are to pass judgement on Israel?

1006

What is CNN doing there as imbeds if they are seeking nothing but points to exploit for demoralizing the sincere efforts by Israel? This is nothing more than an exploitive attempt to 'sell Andy and Johnny Roberts' as heroes .

First they used their best, namely Nic Robertson and Christiane Amanpour to stage a 'real news program' where Cooper didn't have the ability to do same.

Then.

CNN started this mess the last weekend of July when they put forth a 24 hour marathon of Andy Cooper and his taped appearances here, there and everywhere.

Now, all of a sudden, Nic Robertson is out of the picture and supposedly Cooper is transposed over that image of him. They did the same type of ego trip to secure the 10 o'clock hour from Aaron Brown.

I don't believe a thing John Roberts reports and his opinion is not at all welcome. If he is miffed at the Israeli campaign against Hezbollah I suggest he go across to the other side and report for Al Jazeera.

Cooper and the weather man, Roberts just can't cut it. They can risk it all but that doesn't change the fact they don't have the right context of their news broadcast. They seek to undermine Israel's solid stance and legitimate effort to destroy a terrorist network that holds the entire Middle East as a host at their whims. This news team, doesn't get it. Hezbollah has murdered a Lebanon Prime Minister. They did it in a pre-mediated fashion. They did it in cold blood.

The seemingly slow progress of Israel is actually a well placed attack. They have proven to be brilliant battle field strategists. Yes, there are casualities in Israel. The citizens are upset. The IDF and IAF are a great fighting force.

1011

John Kings report was better but at the end of it he just had to diss the Israeli efforts. Go to hell ! If Lebanon wants to include people in the politics of the country they need to provide a venue for a non-violent party to form while they abandon completely the tactics of infiltration. Hezbollah can never be considered a valuable political party for Lebanon. They murdered a Prime Minister. Syria may have been a conspiring party.

JEDDAH, 9 August 2006 — Even as Saudi Arabia has been officially rushing aid to the Lebanese families affected by ongoing Israeli attacks, its citizens have also been mobilizing their effort.
Institutions, men and women have been individually or collectively campaigning with the knowledge of the Lebanese diplomatic mission to canvass support for the war-ravaged people.
Some of them have been interacting with the Lebanese Consulate General here to know the country’s needs on a day-to-day basis and then impressing on established business houses, donors and philanthropic organizations to route their donations through the consulate.
One of the institutions playing an effective role in this direction is Jeddah-based European Business Center, which has its branches in Beirut and Cairo.

This is no mystery. Lieberman is out. He should put his support behind the candidate of his party. A party that has stood behind him for many, many years. Joe surely isn't a sore loser.

By John Whitesides, Political Correspondent
HARTFORD, Conn., Aug 8 (Reuters) - Connecticut Sen. Joseph Lieberman trailed in early returns on Tuesday in a Democratic Party showdown that focused on the former vice presidential candidate's support for the Iraq war and President George W. Bush.
Lieberman, a three-term senator, scrambled to avoid a humiliating Democratic primary defeat at the hands of Ned Lamont, a relative unknown who had called the senator a cheerleader for Bush and urged voters to send an anti-war message to the country.

Russia proposes interim ceasefire resolution on Mideast

http://en.rian.ru/world/20060808/52402787.html

MOSCOW, August 8 (RIA Novosti) - Russia proposes that the UN Security Council adopt an interim resolution to demand a ceasefire in Lebanon in the event member-states fail to come to terms on the French-American draft, a deputy foreign minister said Tuesday.

"Under the circumstances, a short resolution on a humanitarian ceasefire needs to be adopted as a provisional step by the Security Council if differences over the proposed [by the U.S. and France] draft persist," Andrei Denisov said.

The conflict between Lebanon-based radical Islamic movement Hizbollah and Israel has been continuing for three weeks in southern Lebanon and has claimed almost 1,000 lives and forced about a quarter of the country's population to flee their homes. Hizbollah has killed more than 90 Israelis, mostly soldiers.

Russia's ambassador at the UN, Vitaly Churkin, said early Tuesday ahead of new discussions on the resolution drafted by the United States and France that the document stipulated no immediate ceasefire or Israel's pullout from Lebanon.

"The draft resolution envisions a political process that is supposed to lead out Israeli troops but this is something that you can only discover after thorough analysis of the text," Churkin said, adding that the document stipulated no 100% guarantees that this would happen soon.

Islamic countries, including Lebanon, have slammed the document for what they called legitimizing Israel's aggression.

The diplomat also said that his country favored a resolution that would satisfy Lebanon as otherwise the conflict would only escalate further.

Denisov said the French-American draft was "a step forward," but added that Lebanon's remarks should be taken into account to prevent an "unworkable" resolution from being passed.
The Security Council was to convene an open session Tuesday to discuss a resolution on Lebanon with all interested parties, including a delegation from the Arab League and, in particular, diplomats from Qatar, the only Muslim country on the UN Security Council. The session was expected to focus on a resolution drafted by the United States and France.

I'll let you know if I find anything else interesting about this broadcast. Boy, oh boy block after block after block of destroyed Hezbollah's stronghold. Look, no one is fussing much about Hezbollah killing a Prime Minister while destroying buildings and killing innocent people. Memories are so short these days.

Hm?

Blah, blah, blah. Go support the Arabs. I really believe CNN intends to hurt the efforts of Israel. I wish they would not allow any imbeds. Roberts has no sense of what is security to Israeli efforts from any of the reports I witnessed on this news cast. Israel needs to reconsider it's generosity toward CNN journalists.

Looks like Andy needs a new car. Bombed out, huh, Anderson?

I think there is a language barrier to some degree. When the journalists were inbeds in Iraq it was with English speaking commanders to the units they accompanied. I really do believe any sincere effort to promote the Israel cause is lost in the exploitive nature of this news agency.

1055

I've had enough of The Andy Show. Long about now are the promotions of the oil companies along with the West Coast enlistment program.
