There has to be end to the terrorist networks in the Middle East. Bush should have accomplished that a long time ago by destroying al Qaeda. He didn't and the people of those countries are victim to ever evolving terrorist networks.
Israel will clean it up if the other countries don't have the backbone. The world can thank Israel later.
There has been a stalemate in regard to indictments of the Hariri murder due to the arrogance of Syria, when in fact they should be completely transparent and rid themselves of the violent element of their society. Isreal will clean up the neighborhood. The USA need not apply. The USA only drops the ball when it suits their political style and greedy cronies. Israel can provide real resolve, not a political theater.

Fires occur in this dynamic because of Climate Change over time. We know it for a fact A forest will become a tinder box because of drought, no other reason. Controlled burns are not performed in tinder boxes, but, in forests with moist soil and healthy canopy.
Bush is "W"rong in his 'thinning' the forests by his timber buddies. The real danger areas cannot be avoided. It's called stopping Human Induced Global Warming.

Vladimir Putin could not be more correct about Dick Cheney. He doesn't see the entire danger but only when too late and his friends/allies are damaged/dying because of it.
