163 killed in Mumbai blasts
KRITTIVAS MUKHERJEE IN MUMBAI
AT LEAST 163 people were killed and hundreds injured yesterday as bombs ripped through packed commuter trains and railway stations in India's financial hub city of Mumbai.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the evening rush hour attacks, the worst in the city for more than a decade. But suspicion is likely to fall on Muslim militants fighting New Delhi's rule in disputed Kashmir, who have been blamed for several bomb attacks in India in the past.

This isn't about al Qaeda, UNLESS, al Qaeda now runs the conflict between Musharraf's Pakistan and Indian in Kashmir. Has anyone during this news propaganda segment said anything about Kashmir? I didn't think so. They are desperately trying to analogize the Indian city to New York City.

Propagandists. Pure and simple.

MUSHARRAF has some questions to answer.

Chicago Train Derails, Dozens Evacuated

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/nation/4040713.html

By MEGAN REICHGOTT

CHICAGO — Dozens of commuters were evacuated from the city's transit system Tuesday after a train derailed and fire filled a subway line with smoke during the evening rush hour. Terrorism was not suspected, officials said.

The evacuations began about an hour after the last car of an eight-car commuter train slipped off the tracks and material beneath the train caught fire, said Chicago Transit Authority President Frank Kruesi. The blaze filled the subway line with thick smoke and covered some commuters in soot....

...Bomb and arson detectives were on the scene, but there was no evidence of foul play, Police Superintendent Philip Cline said.

The dangers with trailers well known. North Carolina ALWAYS sets warnings for people living in trailers when severe weather is expected. These are permanent residence in some cases, not just FEMA trailers.

This is an article from 1986 which appeared in The New York Times on July 4th.

Three Killed When Storm Hits Trailer Park in North Carolina

Three people, two of them children, died and eight others were injured. The park is used mainly by the families of marines stationed nearby at Camp Lejeune. (AP)

You aren't capable of being honest, Anderson. Peter Bergin or whom ever that jerk was, should be ashamed of his role in trying to stir hysteria in a country hs is supposed to love.

Forum to evaluate trailers
The school district will ask the public about the mobile classrooms

Thomas Jamieson-Lucy, decked out in the summer uniform of a baseball hat, T-shirt and shorts, talked about trailer classrooms with the same easygoing attitude that seemed to rule his summer afternoon.
“Sometimes (the trailers) would smell real bad because things would live under them,” the seventh-grader at Smithton Middle School said, referring to a skunk who lived under one classroom trailer before its removal.
Thomas’ mother, Jacui Jamieson, has no problem with the portable classrooms and said her daughter, Allison, a junior at Rock Bridge High School, enjoyed her time in them.

Today in Kashmir:

Eight killed, 37 injured in grenade attacks in Kashmir
Shujaat Bukhari

http://www.hindu.com/2006/07/12/stories/2006071207111200.htm

SRINAGAR: In a series of grenade attacks by militants here on Tuesday, eight persons, including five tourists from West Bengal, were killed and 37 injured. One person was caught while hurling a grenade and handed over to police by civilians.
At 11.40 a.m., militants hurled the first grenade into a mini bus near Dalgate, injuring over 15 people. They had come from Kolkatta and were planning to stay here for 10 days. While five of the injured died, others have been admitted to hospital.
Soon, another grenade was thrown towards a Maruti car with Haryana registration number in Regal Chowk. Police said Nitin Roy Shrivastava, a security personnel from Lucknow currently posted in Ladakh, was on a holiday with his family when militants hurled a grenade at his vehicle injuring four persons. Three persons, who were standing nearby, were injured.

AND OF COURSE because this didn't involve a ally, with 'big city' analogy those dead TODAY are insignificant.

Let's see if there is a more realistic analogy. Perhaps? Hm? Iraq? How many did CNN's news secretary say died? 18? Try that again Erica.

About 60 killed in escalating attacks in Iraq; legislators demand answers

BAGHDAD (AP) - More than a dozen bombings killed about 60 people in Iraq on Tuesday, part of a recent surge in violence that prompted legislators to ask the government to explain why its security plan for the capital is failing.
Suicide bombers struck across the street from Baghdad's heavily guarded Green Zone, killing up to 16 people - the deadliest attack in a wave of bombings and shootings that threatened to shatter confidence in Iraq's new government.
In all, about 60 people died in more than a dozen bombings, shootings and ambushes - mostly in the Baghdad area, police reported. The dead included 10 Shiite Muslims slain by gunmen who fired on their bus as it left the capital for a funeral in southern Iraq, police said.

Here is an article for you Anderson. It has at least as much truth 'built into it' as any of yours and CNN. You guys are a joke. The Onion has more credibility than you do Anderson. At least they know their humor is based in a bizarre reality called 'DC Moronity.'

Probably a homless man. Predator that gets his needs met off the streets he lives on. With the rape component to the murders it sort of screams 'privacy' to me. Not only wanting to get away with the crime, but, seeking privacy in his sexual acts removes his actions from being witnessed. Think of it as urinating in public. When a 'guy' wants to 'take a leak' they will go out of their way to do so in an out of the way place. Behind trees, scrubs. Motorists will even pull off the road, regardless of the act being against the law, to 'relieve' themselves only to be ticketed by the police.

I think this murderer has THAT edge to his covert nature. It's a privacy issue and hence no witnesses.

34 shootings likely connected, police say

http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0711serialshootings11-ON-CR.html
Associated PressJul. 11, 2006 05:30 PM
Thirteen random shootings during the past two months are probably connected to an earlier set of assaults, slayings and animal shootings in the city, with 34 shootings in all now believed to be tied to the same suspect or suspects, police said Tuesday. Everything about the serial shootings points to the same perpetrators, Phoenix police Cmdr. Bill Louis said at a press briefing, but so little is known about them that detectives are frustrated and need help to break the case.“We have no description,” Louis said. “This has been very perplexing for us.

“To have this many incidents without at least one witness, it’s not making sense.” Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon announced a $100,000 reward for information about the serial shooter or a second serial criminal know as the Baseline Rapist. Louis said the first shootings were reported in May 2005 and the most recent early Saturday morning. Four people have died — two homeless men, a woman and a man sitting at a bus stop.Police announced the most recent series of 13 shootings on Saturday, but didn’t conclusively connect them with the earlier shootings. That changed Tuesday, when Sgt. Andy Hill said investigators had connected the two sets of violent crimes after discovering new information. Hill wouldn’t elaborate on the kind of information police received.“We believed this possibility existed all along,” Hill said. The serial shootings are concentrated on major Phoenix streets, occurring late at night or in the early morning and target lone pedestrians.Detectives have been tracking the shootings as part of an unusual crime wave in Phoenix. Since August, a separate task force also has been trying to catch a serial killer dubbed the Baseline Rapist who they believe is responsible for five killings and a series of rapes and assaults.
