Aaron Brown is Missed
Dear Mr. Brown,
Unlike Larry Brown, I have never had the opportunity to have lunch with you, but I would loved too! Your kind and more importantly, thoughtful. I would crawl into bed and wait for you to put together all the news that was necessary for discussion and debate. Since you've shared your time with Anderson, the quality and time spent on really indepth and more intellectual pursuit went to the wayside. Your thought, and critical assessment will be missed.
Thank you,

Sexually active young people advise column about birth control and advocates safe sex. The article is obscene. Anderson seems to like the words.
Too sexy? Student paper confiscated
By: Leean Tupper Oak Ridge Staff
leean.tupper@oakridger.com
The Oak Leaf, the monthly school newspaper written and produced by students at Oak Ridge High School, wasn't distributed Wednesday because of one particular article and some of its content dealing with sex and birth control methods, according to the paper's editor-in-chief.
And this has newspaper staffers and students alike upset.
"It's nothing new for us to explain these controversial issues," the paper's Editor-in-Chief Brittany Thomas, a senior, said Wednesday afternoon.
"I won a first-place award from the Tennessee Press Association for an article very similar to this one," she said, referring to the article written by another student.
"It's very upsetting. This is a good, solid story.
"The school administration should realize they don't have the power to censor our paper," Thomas said, while fellow students gathered around her living room late Wednesday afternoon to hand-paint T-shirts they plan to wear to school on Monday in protest.
"When they (the general population) see a pregnant girl, they say the girl should know better," senior Samantha Senn said. "But in a lot of cases, they (the girls) don't know anything."
Other students said they think not allowing the paper to be distributed at school is "ridiculous."
The article which explains birth control methods references a national survey, conducted in 2001, of high school students who were asked whether they were sexually active. Those national percentages were applied to ORHS students.
The article primarily covers birth control methods, quotes Dr. Charles Darling, an obstetrician/gynecologist in Oak Ridge, and tells students where they may obtain contraceptives - including a quote from Darling that says parental consent is not needed to obtain birth control.
Scott Fraker/Staff
Brittany Thomas, editor of the Oak Ridge High School newspaper, is upset students are being denied access to The Oak Leaf's latest edition.
Thomas also pointed out another article placed below the story of concern that advises students to practice abstinence until marriage.
Though Oak Ridge Superintendent of Schools Tom Bailey admitted "not everything about that article is wrong," he told The Oak Ridger on Wednesday, "our paper's not there to hide things from parents."
The superintendent added: "We have a responsibility to the public to do the right thing."
Bailey said ORHS Principal Becky Ervin approached him Tuesday after she learned the birth control article was in the Nov. 23 edition of the student paper, which also includes a two-page, color middle spread of students' tattoos and a story about two students' experiences in obtaining body art.
The paper had been distributed to teachers Tuesday afternoon for student distribution on Wednesday morning, Thomas said. However, the student editor said she learned upon arriving at school Wednesday that the papers had been collected from the teachers.
Wanda Grooms, student advisor for The Oak Leaf, said she "wasn't completely comfortable with (the subject)," and that the article had been discussed with and re-written several times by a student reporter.
Grooms said she helps students, but she does not give them story ideas or pull articles unless they are libelous, obscene or an invasion of someone's privacy.
"I think The Oak Leaf has had a long tradition of 50 years of operating as a public forum for students to express themselves," Grooms said. "Kids need to talk about hard subjects in a fair and honest way."

John King again. Support of the war Rep. Jones. Oh, the Freedom Fry Guy. He opposes Bush now. He has decided following the policies of Bush is a dangerous business not just for the people in uniform but for the people of Congress/Senate who like to remain on the right side of Constitutional Law by having a commander and chief that can be impeached when he over reaches his claims to power violating legislation that was to restrain the power of this country until there was no other option. Rep. Jones also feels the violations of human rights of the military has remained under leadership that continues to make errors. There is no place for people in this country for those that violate international law. I admire Rep. Jones who seeks to protect his military constituency as well as the interests of this country. A strong military cannot be compromised by violations of International Law.

CNN might regret replacing Brown
I want to express my appreciation for your fine editorial concerning Aaron Brown, who added so much to the CNN telecast. It was painful to watch as CNN, in its prelude to firing the man, added Anderson Cooper to the late show in which the older man showed so much class.
To say that the 58-year-old man is too old for the show was an insult to us older people who, I would think, far surpass the number of young people spending their time looking at a news program from 10 p.m. to 12 p.m. Anderson Cooper's threatening crisis every incident he reports in a fast order is wearing but forgivable because he is young and has not gained the wisdom of men like Aaron Brown, who have provided us with thoughtful, in-depth coverage that we want to hear.
Anderson Cooper is a handsome young fellow voted "one of the sexiest men" we have, but that does not qualify him to perform on TV at the rank of a man like Aaron Brown. Perhaps CNN does not care about us old-timers who have looked forward to hearing Aaron Brown with hopes CNN would see fit to provide him with a show at an earlier hour. Instead, it was painful to watch the pain of Brown, suddenly confronted with the addition of Cooper to his show. He and his audience knew where this was leading. However subtle all the meanderings were supposed to be, CNN could not hide the ugliness of seeing Brown's embarrassment at what was obviously a replacement by the younger man, bubbling with what he considered his achievement in soon replacing Brown.
This may prove to be a serious mistake for CNN with an overexposure of Anderson Cooper, who is nowhere the equal of Aaron Brown. It makes us wonder: Does Cooper's family have a lot of stock in CNN?

TEHRAN, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Iran has pledged to give Iraq a $1 billion loan and help with tackling insecurity, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said at the end of a ground-breaking visit to the Islamic state.
Talabani's three-day visit, the first by an Iraqi leader to Iran for nearly four decades, followed heightened accusations by Western and some Iraqi officials that Shi'ite Muslim Iran was linked to insurgent attacks in Iraq. Iran denies the charges.

Sunni leader shot dead to spread election fear, police say
Associated Press
BAGHDAD, Iraq - Gunmen wearing Iraqi army uniforms burst into the home of a Sunni Arab sheik Wednesday, killing him, three of his sons and a son-in-law in an attack police said may have been aimed at discouraging members of the minority from participating in next month's election.
Khadim Sarhid al-Hemaiyem, who lived on the outskirts of Baghdad, was the leader of a branch of the Dulaimi tribe, one of the biggest in Iraq. His brother is a candidate in the Dec. 15 parliamentary election, three of his sons had been policemen and another son was slain last month north of the capital, police and family members said.
Elsewhere, an American soldier from Task Force Baghdad died of a gunshot wound Wednesday in the center of the capital, the U.S. military said. At least 2,108 U.S. service members have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to the Department of Defense.

Shock and sadness at GM plants
Surrounding communities feel pain of stunned workers

SPRING HILL, Tennessee (AP) -- When General Motors Corp. started building cars in this sleepy farming town nearly 15 years ago, the Saturn plant was touted as a key component of the automaker's vision for the future.
But now this thriving Nashville suburb finds itself recast as another in a long list of Rust Belt survivors -- worried about its economic future as GM announces it will eliminate 30,000 manufacturing jobs, including a production line in Spring Hill where the Ion compact car is produced. Other communities in Oklahoma, Georgia, Michigan and Canada are also facing a future without GM jobs.

SYNOPSIS:
Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore ("Roger & Me," "Bowling for Columbine") crafted this incendiary piece of skillful agitprop, an exploration of the tragic chain of events before and after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center of September 11, 2001. Pointing his finger at a global conspiracy of war, greed, and media manipulation, Moore leaves no political figure unscathed in his most passionate, outraged condemnation of a president and policies he considers illegitimate and incompetent.

PRELIMINARY EVALUATION OF THE FIRE-RELATED DEBRIS FLOWS ON STORM KING MOUNTAIN, GLENWOOD SPRINGS, COLORADO
SEPTEMBER, 1994 EVENTOn the night of September 1, 1994 at approximately 10:30 pm, in response to a torrential downpour, a wall of mud, rocks and burned trees came crashing down onto Interstate I-70 in four places. Thirty cars traveling on the highway at the time were engulfed by the mud, but luckily only minor injuries were reported. According to Colorado Department of Transportation personnel, material continued to flow out of the canyons throughout the night of September 1 and the early morning hours of September 2. Mud and debris issuing from the mouth of drainage B overtopped the Jersey barriers that divide the west- and east-bound lanes of the interstate and continued into the Colorado River, where it was deposited as a fan that blocked nearly half of the river (Plate 1, Figure 9). Material from drainage B also traveled westward along I-70, again overtopping the Jersey barriers into the east-bound lanes, and finally stopped at mouth of drainage A (Figures 10 and 11, Plate 1).

Madrid `Latin Kings' Raise Specter of Immigrant Gangs (Update1)
`Zoot Suit Riots'
The history of Latino gangs in U.S. cities can be traced back as far as the 1940s when so-called ``Zoot Suit riots'' erupted in Los Angeles, fueled by tensions between U.S. military personnel and Mexican youths, said Jose Soltero, a researcher in the Latin American and Latino studies department at Chicago's DePaul University.
``Some studies have pointed to the evolution of Latino gangs from neighborhood gangs to economic enterprises,'' he said in an interview conducted by email. The ``Latin Kings'' probably originated in Puerto Rican and Mexican neighborhoods in Chicago in the 1960s, he said.
The emergence of a group in Madrid calling itself the ``Latin Kings'' is a sign it's modeling itself on the U.S. gang, said Mendez. The ``Latin Kings'' use symbols based on a five- pointed crown and gang colors of black, gold and red to identify themselves as gang members.
Madrid Killings
After the latest incident in which a Dominican youth died in the northeast part of the city, police detained seven Ecuadorian youths suspected to be ``Latin Kings'' members, said Mendez.

A Lobotomy That He Says Didn't Touch His Soul
The case files of mental illness are filled with half-baked theories and their drastic advocates. Wilhelm Fleiss, for example, believed that sexual hang-ups stemmed from irregularities in the nasal cavity and that a little judicious snipping could set everything straight. In 1895 he famously botched an operation on Sigmund Freud's patient Emma Eckstein, absent-mindedly leaving a yard of surgical gauze stuffed in her head and almost causing her to bleed to death.
50,000 lobotomies performed in U.S. from '30s to '70s
The lobotomy was introduced in 1936 by a Portuguese physician, Dr. Egas Moniz. Some 50,000 lobotomies were performed in the United States from the 1930s to the 1970s.
The original method, called prefrontal lobotomy, involved boring open the patient's skull to cut the connection between the prefrontal region — an area concerned with emotion, learning, memory and social behavior — and the rest of the brain. While it often relieved symptoms of severe mental illness, it also blunted emotion, leaving patients listless and childlike.

Anderson Cooper is accustomed to sabotage.
Like its predecessor, The Mole 2 will feature all the exciting "whodunit" game elements of the original series, while invoking key changes that will provide a more engaging experience for the viewing audience.
Hosted by former ABC News correspondent Anderson Cooper, The Mole 2 follows 14 players as they try to figure out who among them is The Mole. By working as a team to complete a series of challenging physical and mental games, the players earn money for the pot — up to $1 million — which one winner will eventually take home. Working undercover against the team, however, is The Mole, a double agent planted by the producers to sabotage the players' money-earning efforts. It is the goal of each player to decide who they think The Mole is and then learn as much about him or her as possible. At the end of each one-hour episode, the group is given a quiz on The Mole's identity. The player who knows the least information about The Mole is immediately sent home. In the final dramatic episode, The Mole is revealed, and the one remaining player wins the jackpot.
To enhance the fundamental play-along aspect of The Mole 2, several changes are being implemented this season. For one, viewers will get to see all of the questions on the multiple choice quiz given to the players at the end of each episode, allowing them to test their own knowledge of The Mole's identity. In addition, episodes will be peppered with clues that will give eagle-eyed viewers a real opportunity to figure out which of the players is The Mole.
Further helping to involve viewers in the game will be a heightened focus on character development. From journal entries to secret confessionals, the thoughts, opinions, and strategies of each player will be presented on-camera for viewers to digest and dissect. Additionally, provocative and often personal questions will be posed to the players by host Cooper to spark discussion among them. Through these discussions, the players and viewers will gain insight, as well as answers, to future quiz questions.

I Find the Reference to Royalty of the 'Ticker - Tape' at the bottom of the picture interesting as well.
Today Fredericka Whitfield, whom I have never seen where a scarf, is wearing what can be discerned as a 'wide tie' under her jacket and around her neckline. I am not sure what that means but I am sure it relates to this issue. The Community has made an impact.
Saturday, November 19, 2005
What goes on?
I have one comment in that the community has a way of dealing with this issue that keeps estranging them from their goal. I don't know if there is a better way but they might consider the point that this 'tactic' doesn't seem to be working to 'out' people they seek to provide empowerment. I believe people should be living without fear of retaliation on all fronts, socially, legally or religiously in regard to their gender identity or their sexual preferences as long as it does not victimize through abuse or exploitation, children and/or the powerless.
After realizing what was being said by the Gay Community, I did note it was odd for Ryan to make mention of his '...natural hair color.' I don't approve of vanity either. Good grooming and having sex appeal is a separate issue from vanity. Completely. Considering the victimizing of Aaron Brown for reasons of discrimination, that comment might be simply a pre-emptive strick against CNN. Beyond these comments I do not feel qualified to comment and leave that to those who care to.
This blog was begun to tell the world about issues of bias, discrimination, racism and anti-semitic trends that are DANGEROUS to individuals. To that end I enter this 'information' as 'observations' of a Gay Community at risk. At risk for disease that is not a focus of the government to the extent it should including with Black Women, a risk for addiction to chemical substances like 'crystal meth' due to community rejection by a greater society and a risk for those that have found happiness in couplehood and child rearing that is frowned on by some courts in this country and an ever encroaching 'same' authority at the level of Supreme Court. I will not abandon this community or any other 'at risk' because it's unpopular. That is exactly the subject I struggled with for years regarding religious bigotry.
Anderson and Ryan, Sittin' in a Tree
In what must be one of the gayest moments in CNN history, Ryan Seacrest, subbing for Larry King, took another major step in putting the "out" in "Seacrest out."
He appeared to pitch some serious woo Anderson Cooper's way when Anderson came on to promo his 10 p.m. show. The two went practically ga-ga for each other. I'm surprised digits were not exchanged on the air.
But they did, however, talk about the long pink appendage dangling from Ryan, as well as "taking a pounding."
Cruising this serious is usually reserved for dimly lit parks, not television screens across America.
Anderson Cooper falls for Ryan Seacrest's big 'tie'
Somehow Anderson Cooper managed to upstage even Nicole Richie, who was chatting with Ryan Seacrest on Larry King Live last night — yes, CNN let Ryan fill in for Larry King.
Nicole, on to talk about her "novel," took a back seat to Ryan and Anderson when the CNN superstar came on for a lead-in promo.
Their gay-filled, gay-themed, gay-styled, gay, gay, gay, banter:
AC: That's the biggest tie I've ever seen by the way.
RS: Yeah, you know, I don't know. It's bigger than my head, isn't it?
AC: No, it works, it works for you, it just, you know, I just noticed it ..
RS: Look at the size of your .. Your bow's tiny, mine's huge.
AC: I've heard that often.
And if that weren't enough, Anderson goes on to talk about Nashville "taking a pounding."
We were mildly uncomfortable. And erect.

The House Republicans disregarding respect of USA soldiers have put on a POLITICAL SHOW to 'play' with the dignified status offered to them by the respect for their lives by Representative Murpha. The Republicans are 'grandstanding' in a show of anger to counter a very real issue and that is the removal of the USA presence in Iraq that has been the stimulus to a violent opposition to the Iraqi government including a new al Qaeda regime that has now caused the deaths in Jordan. The Republicans will not live with reality that this invasion has caused a regional destabilization none of these countries asked for and quite the contrary has escalated beyond their control of the terrorist tactics of violent and few in number individuals that carry out these terrible acts.

California Wildfires - the only reason we see these fires and not anywhere else in the country is due to it's close proximity to their viewership.
http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/
The fires in the USA as of November 18, 2005. The fire incidence and acreage is spreading rapidly and widely in the east but where is the focus of CNN. California. Oh ! Do I detect insincerity for ratings over 'honest purpose' to stop the wildfires in the country? Yeah. Did the expose last week do any good? No. Why? Because there was no outrage or follow up over the fires that were actually burning. The fires in eastern USA will go ignored because Bambi doesn't watch cable news.

Representative Murpha has valid arguments for redeployment out of Iraq because the incidence of attacks and causalities have escalated both with American soldiers and Iraqi civilians over the last year. The attacks are against the USA forces with the 'side effect' of Iraqi civilian deaths. That's right, if the USA was not there, they cannot unify against the USA if we are not there as a focus including our allies such as Jordan. In addition and what Rep. Murpha does not say is that Iraq is not a security risk to the USA. It needs to be left to the region to resolve these issues and under the policies of Bush all of Iraq's neighbors are left out of the solution.

Ah, so there is something that looks like a strategy for a change. Someone has finally listened to Senator John Kerry.
It is a stunt pulled by Republicans in the style of Terry's Law to support 'their base' with Neocon politics. There is absolutely nothing sincere about the Republican ranting today. They are trying to intimidate the legitimate arguments made by Democrats because they have been nothing but dishonest in their approach of government exploiting the disadvantaged in this country in favor of a crony war in Iraq that is little consequence to the security of this nation but impacts the instability of the Middle East in ways the surrounding countries and allies have been unable to fend off from Madrid to Amman and every attack inbetween including two in Egypt and one in London.

If I am not mistaken any citizen or anyone with information regarding any issues of security and safety of the country are welcome to call the agencies 24/7. There are always agents 'on-call' to every citizen in the country for any reason of concern that might cause the country problems in law enforcement that includes drug and human trafficking as well. I mean, we all should realize our intelligence agencies receive our input to our security without question and follow up to leads as they can.

Polygamy and arranged marriages with older men by decades. "It was like a horror film but I was in the front seat. There is no birth control allowed." To refuse a husband and getting pregnant was against the religion. She stated she was having too many children, too fast. It didn't matter to her polygamous spouse. She was one of three wives and 54 children. She has 8 children in 15 years. Living in a polygamous home is like living in a police state and getting out of the 'sect' was nearly impossible. Her oldest daughter was resistant to leave. Her van was nearly out of gas. The tale she tells is not dissimilar to that of women escaping an abusive spouse. A predator spouse.
Her perception of religious obedience is one of slavery. Having no will of ones own.

More about polygamy. The FLDS - a sect. Warren Jeffs is their prophet. Wanted by the FBI for arranging marriages of underage girls. Young men were banished from the sect because there were more men than could be accommodated by the women of the community. "Lost Boys." This is nasty stuff. The FBI needs to break this mess up. Children are being raised only to be abused into some kind of sexual role in the world. There is no purity of spirit with a sect like this. There are men who don't have restraint or loyalty. Fathers and husbands are banned from the community. Amazing. The citizens (if you can call the that) of this community would not have a clue what to say to the media and cannot relate to anything outside of their indoctrination. This is illegal in this country. The community is isolated similar to the Waco, Texas bunch. What was the name of those guys? The Dividians of Waco, Texas. Exploiting children for sexual roles with the sect/cult. Free form marriages that can be rearranged at the whim of their leader. Calling their leader 'Jesus Christ.' It is the same stuff. Do we have to wait for the UPS delivery of munitions?
1147
But, Bill, it was a stunt. There was no Republican in favor of a Republican measure including those that proposed it. I think Bill is right again. Rep. Murtha can actually take a position of seeking a solution to an endless war of which no Republican can claim. The Republicans do not criticize the president about any of the issues facing the military. All the criticism of this administration comes from the Democrats or not at all. The Republicans only rubber stamp what Bush demands and send out appropriation bills and budgets to keep a non-existent economy going. The economy would not exist without the exploitation of the treasury and national debt and hence the future of the generations of this country.

I miss Aaron.
The Daily e-mail from Aaron Brown's NewsNight:
"Today is the kind of day when I wish I had at least two hours to give every subject in the news just attention but instead I'll try to touch on all the high points.
We begin tonight with a very sad scenario that has played out all too many times across this nation about children. On July 16, 2002 this news hour reported with the help of Thelma Gutierrez, on a child found after being abducted from her play yard at her home. That child was five year old Samantha Runnion. Three days later we all attended her funeral over the airwaves where 3000 people packed the Crystal Cathedral full to honor this child and embrace her family. Today, November 17, 2005; we convicted a child killer. That child was 11 year old Carlie Brucia and the killer 39 year old Joseph Smith. The alarming aspect of this is that Joseph Smith is a father of three out on probation. Joseph Smith is a repeat offender of child molestation. Today again we have heard a mother call for justice from a life now broken without her daughter while not being able to reach beyond her grief. The two events occurred over a time span of 40 months a number of the same crime committed across this country including a cluster in Florida. Tonight we'll focus on the inadequecy of these laws and the danger our children continue to face even with the help of "Amber Alert."
We'll keep this focus on several occasion tonight while touching on the rest of the news today. The Bird Flu is spreading in China while the President is in that part of the world for an economic conference. He hasn't addressed this serious subject so much as addressed the defense of his administration from a country unhappy with his performance in office including and especially the way the war in Iraq is transpiring. That brings us to another subject and that is the decent of the Democratic Party on the heels of hearings in the Senate that has found top executives of oil companies guilty of lying across the board at resent hearings regarding exorbitant gas prices and encroaching winter months. Those calls from Democrats today didn't focus on oil prices so much the pre-war intelligence leading to Iraq and their assertions that the President mislead the country in the war of Iraq. Today, as astounding but welcome call by many in this country of Representative Murtha, a Democrat from Pennsylvania. Rep. Murtha is a career military turned to a Senior Representative in the House with re-elections numbering into 30 years. This was quite a surprise today, and after the Vice President addressed the Democrats as being inappropriate in calling for a withdrawal of the troops based on an accounting of the progress in Iraq. Rep. Murtha has proposed a Bill in the House for immediate withdrawal of our troops. We'll present the facts and address the reactions of the people involved including some Iraqis.
I want to briefly focus also on New Orleans and the forgotten plight of that city as Mayor Nagin is now a frequent visitor to Capital Hill to refocus the attention he is seeking to promote economic development. And get this. He isn't begging for money but for opportunity for his city and replacement of the wetlands and levees. It should be an interesting look at things. We'll also look briefly at the plight of FEMA housing and those still seeking it and the lock out of hotel residents with the coming holidays as well.
We'll finish a quick look at Bob Woodward's astounding statement regarding his involvement in the Plame investigation.
The rhetoric never stops regarding Gay Rights and tonight our daily look will include the reaction to the Church of England now characterized as 'evil' by some gay advocates. On the other friendlier side is Jamaica which is now bringing Gay Rights to the country's conversation to insure those rights.
A quick look at Castro and Harry Potter. Hm? I don't think they have anything in common except perhaps a concern neither are good for the country.
And of course our nightly favorite "The Rooster" will visit with our favorite headlines.
…………………………….
That was nice.
Tonight on AC360 we'll hear about the escapades of Americans and how they lie at least once a day. This is bonding issue with the current president and veep. We are all guilty and should be forgiving of the Oval Office. In addition, Neocons are always concerned about money, ie: Dick Cheney, so we'll look at how to hold onto your wallet while avoiding a housing scam that uses identity theft. With any luck we'll also replay the Paula Zahn segment regarding lobotomies so that American and Iraqi Torture seems reasonable.

Recalling Vietnam. Well, John, Vietnam even had a legitimate beginning. The French were occupying South Vietnam after WWII. We were members of SEATO together. The French were failing miserably against the North and they didn't feel it was time to rejoin the two countries. Back in the day, The Domino Effect was a very serious theory. It was misguided. So being a good ally we joined the fight. First it was limited to medical and humanitarian aid. That was Eisenhower. Kennedy sent 5000 military advisers and equipment. Then just before his assassination he witnessed the Monks on fire in the town square of Saigon. They set themselves on fire. He seriously rethought Vietnam and began to realize the people of the South may not want us there. He never got a chance to pull the advisors and it was Johnson who nearly immediately after taking office sent troops and started a draft. It was the wrong thing to do and he should have acted as Kennedy would have but he didn't. Vietnam saw the death of 54,000 young Americans, many 19 years old. It went on forever and into Nixon's White House. Bell Helicopter had government contracts and made millions if not billions. They were the equivalent to Halliburton. Then there was Watergate and Nixon's resignation. Gerald Ford took the presidency for the rest of the term, pardoned Nixon and recalled all the troops within nine months of taking office. Five presidents. Vietnam spanned five presidents. It is time to level Iraq !

Maximum security prison. It wouldn't seem so. They climbed the wall? 1995 gold pontiac bonneville. It was running. It's someone else's vanity plate? Odd. See, it wasn't a maximum security prison at all. There were no guards posted. 1939 prison. 1979 five prisoners left in a garbage truck and found at a county landfill.
Alcatraz is older. 1933 I think.

That's it. CNN found it easier to 'create' an anchor that was young and pliable than ancentuate their experienced staff in Aaron Brown in a new set and all the glitz Cooper is afforded. Aaron tended to call his own shots and that isn't acceptable at CNN. If you play the game the way they want it they give you close up head shots. Featured pre-programming annoucements throughout the afternoon and all one has to do is read the script and smile big.
Boring ! I'll be honest, I am getting NOTHING out of this mess. Not a thing. It's all busy work.

Tom Foreman - Let's try the case here, okay?
Detainees tortured. Lions. ACLU states they have confidence in their client's testimony. Defense Department states they are all fabrications. The detainees reaction is predictable. He is humiliated. What he went through was enough. He didn't want to relive it on tape.
Mr. Khalid seems in better shape emotionally, quite frankly.
"Things that they feel they can prove incorrect." - the Defense Department.
He thinks this is very strange. The men were the victims. Even women get protection when crimes of 'privacy' are committed. Why should these men be victimized.
Sorry, Tom. You lose.

New Orleans - bodies lying about. I see. They never completed the job. Even back then it was clearly an arbitrary decision because the death toll went over 1000. The government was afraid the total might be 10,000 or more. The government better not demolish those ruins so much as removed by hand.
Rusty Dornan. 10 more bodies in 9th ward. Sure, why pay the labor let the owners, either original or new can find them and call the authorities. 150 autopsies to do of unidentified bodies. Oh, good we can find the bodies in the rubble. I guess I made my point. They haven't been tested for DNA yet? Dental records are not state of the art.

St Bernard Parish - 104 more bodies found since the search was called off. Were those people alive when the search was called off?
Sheriff of the parish is receiving nightmares from people returning home.
St. Gabriel did a bad job of handling these bodies. 238 bodies released to the families. DNA testing not completed of nearly 900 people due to FEMA's resistance.
Katrina victims neglected. The story went cold, sir. It's unfortunate. See, the 'spin zones' exonerated Bush from Katrina with a job well done with Rita and Wilma. See, Bush got his act together SUPPOSEDLY at the expense of the experience of the citizens of the Gulf Coast.

There is a Star of David among all those Christian Crosses yet still today there is Religious Bigotry in this programming and in social references. That bigotry is across belief systems and I find a good deal of Anti-Arab sentiment in what is in the media today.
Amazing.
Bush wants to run his administration on Christian Values which is highly immoral and self-righteous for a president of this country. Those of other faith that fight and die have no less right to representation under their Constitution.

I've seen it all now.
I bet !
Good night !
I have little patience with the absence of Aaron Brown these days. For years he talked about doing a two hour program and when it finally occured it was handed over to an inexperienced 'read the script' anchor who wouldn't know ethics if it came to dinner.
Not only that Mr. Cooper wants to corrupt issues of spirituality with 'marvels' of the New Age Movement.
The segment on "Indigo Children" was unfortunate. I find that word creeping into my vocabulary alot with this news team. I don't know if they were trying to prove Anderson was a saint or just simply turning a two hour NEWS HOUR into a tabloid, but, what I witnessed last night was an indulgence into 'a cult' understanding of CHILDREN and not adults that have issues of sociability. That is again unfortunate.
The study of auras have been around a long, long time. That, with reflexology, crystal therapy, massage, and all kinds of other 'body work' methods of coping. What Anderson Cooper 360 did last night was to reward the 'concept' of auras as if to say we can explain 'halos' in relation to angels.
They state these emotionally sensitive children are a result of a 'harmonic convergence' after 1978. People like gastroenterologists are seeing higher percentages of children sensitive to foods. 3% I believe he said.
In the USA we have come to know a rather comfortable life in most instances. It does not seem unusual to me for children, especially children, in a country become more and more atune to each other as citizens, in an age of guns in school and terrorists attacking, that children would spin such disorders.
Auras go back decades. We are biochemical beings and even the smallest mouse will have an aura. The crime of the presentation last night is that it wasn't done to 'debunk' the issue so much as enforce it. I find that unfortunate.
Never once during the presentation did they bother to explain what a 'harmonic convergence' is and what the following is to it.
Here is a link: http://www.experiencefestival.com/harmonic_convergence
When one starts down a road of investigating past cultures and heavy duty spirituality it isn't about God anymore. It's about alternative thought about these issues. I have an open mind but for a NEWS HOUR to INVEST this kind of time into issues that 'plague' so few when this country is in profound trouble on all avenues serves no one. Not even the children of Indigo.
This is to serve as a distraction to the issues that beset the White House and nothing else.
Like I said, "I've seen it all now." I can't believe Anderson Cooper would even consent to this mess. He no longer wants to be considered a professional. A professional would never have indulged this issue so much as been a skeptic of it in a far greater way than existed last night.
Two hours.
When Aaron Brown wanted two hours it was because there were issues of concern to this country and the international community and not to indulge the latest CNN Guru'.
It's a darn shame.
