A Profound Difference

The Bigotry that exists within these pages is due to some degree of the difference between the precepts of Judaism and Evangelical Christianity.

The basis of Evangelical Christianity is a self-centered belief that everything is in the control of the individual once a personal relationship with god is established. A place in an afterlife paradise is insured to anyone who lives on the path perscribed by the New Testament.

Yeah, sure the New Testament is a departure from Judaism but it is far more than that. It is an intolerance exhibited by this religious sect that dominates social structure. They are convinced with a strong self centered promise that they are the only correct religion for anyone interested in a place in heaven.

Judaism has several precepts but the one that departs from self-centered worship is the demand on every individual to be connected to community. One person's burden is not their's alone. That learning of compassion as connected to the rewards of a religion is from it's earliest teachings and is why Jewish have always been people that have flourished in once obscure professions. Each community member shared in the success of each other's overcoming of their burdens.

Acceptance of difference is a way of life with the Jewish, it is not with Evangelical Christians.

The articles cited below do not glow of compassion but do reflect of self centered concerns and the rewards of the physical life and not spiritual.
