The Hatred of Age and who knows what else goes on.

Let's get the evening started right.

Time for the NewsNight E-Mail

Last night I pointed out to Aaron that in his e-mail was a rather 'insensitive' statement regarding Michael Brown's testimony to the Repuglican Finance Committee in that he said "... it made good theater."

In true NewsNight apprehension and Age Discrimination that was 'SPUN' so that the staff wrote the e-mai tonight to avoid a mature Jew from repeating that error. Aaron wasn't wrong. He was untimely when the hearings are about people dead, neglected or allowed to be placed in harms way without regard for the very wetlands and levees that have safeguarded their lives for decades. As a matter of fact, Aaron was so right the Repuglican members of the Finance Committee should be ashamed for even tolerating Michael Brown's arrogance for one minute. From that perspective it was political theater. Shameful political theater. It was still insensitive.
But, it was no excuse for pre-empting one of the best news minds in the business either. The youngesters who run CNN these days really think they are somebody.

So the question is this. Will NewsNight "Hammer the 'Hammer" or will they make excuses for a man who has practically raped this country of resources for the constitutents and cronies of Sugar Land, Texas? I wonder what the Sugar Landees think of all this and if they are concerned their federal dollars might be interrupted since 'Good 'ole Tom' is no longer Chief Cook and Book Washer.

We will hear how a Saudi bought the way to the top of a transplant list. If there is corruption I am sure it probably existed with Mickey Mantle as well. I believe it was he that got several transplants before passing. Three months is what those transplants bought him after suffering from cancer. But, this better not be ethnic bigotry on the heels of a lot of savvy Saudi ladies who shunned Bush's Prima Donna.

And of course the heart wrenching and pathetic Beth Nissan with the forlorned and lost hearts awash with flood waters or maybe tonight it will be just some missing childhood teeth or the now Katrina muddied bronzed baby shoes.

And now we are equating 911 with the storms of the century. Why not? I really think the issue belongs square of Bush's shoulders in that he has ignored the Global Warming scenarios that occurred resulting in devastation only found normally in movies. I think we need to hear some creative solutions to the insurance burden that everyone should benefit from rather than giving all the Bush Buddies a FREE PASS on their responsiblities. After all, it was his FEMA director that didn't prepare the region for what was to come. So it seems to me if Big Business gets 'kick backs' regularly in tax breaks from this administration that also disregards voters then they need to 'toe the line' along with all the taxpayers who have more burden then the next ten generations can handle.

And the inclusive reporting tonight again of potential police corruption from witnesses that won't file police reports, video tape that shows no crime and a state bureau of investigation that won't confront the issue. It is a least the FIRST and PERHAPS ONLY PLACE that is pickable enough to detract from any Repuglican Administration GOUGING OF THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER.
SUGGESTION: The NewsNight Staff should just list it as 'The Further Story Telling regarding Nagin Land.'

Forbid the news stories should actually be told AFTER the investigation so we all get the facts straight rather than distorted.
