As of November 11, 2008 she was still in India. I think sports might be a safe venue for her. Aggression, she likes that.

ESPN STAR Sports has appointed Sharon van Zwieten as Executive Producer, News (click here). She takes over from Dez Corkhill, who has moved on to a new role as Executive Producer, Mobile Production. Sharon will be based in Singapore with region-wide responsibility for the network’s programme, SportsCenter. Before joining ESPN STAR Sports, she was Senior Executive Producer at CNN in New York. She brings more than 20 years of experience in broadcast, broadband, online and print media.


...The event witnessed numerous sports enthusiasts queue up for auditions. The participants were taken through various rounds of unprompted commentary and interviews in front of the jury, which comprised former India captain Ravi Shastri, actor and cricket presenter Mandira Bedi and Executive Producer of News, ESPN STAR Sports, Sharon Van Zwieten (click here). “A sports presenter needs a lot of spontaneity and presence of mind. It is a challenging job as the action is live and the result is unpredictable,” said Mandira Bedi. According to jury member Sharon Van Zwieten, “The format of the show has been made bigger and the focus is on going international.” The contestants will be tested on various parameters such as presence of mind, domain knowledge, presentation, camera readiness as well as performance during live matches. From the auditions, 16 contestants will make it to the studio rounds, with the final four heading to Sydney....
