If Bush abdicates his authority to Cheney to protect our intelligence agents while abdicating his brain to Rove what makes anyone think Bush actually works for a living. Having Bolten 'play politics' with the White House and it's influence by allowing a Chief of Staff reveal high level nominations and their qualifications only fits the profile of a president that is completely inept.

The CONTENT of the meetings by Rumsfeld should be revealed if indeed it is a valid defense. Bush has a way of censoring the issues he doesn't want revealed while revealing the issues that defeat Democrats. I don't care how many meetings Rumsfeld holds if it doesn't get the job done while victimizing the people of Iraq in prisons; what good do the meetings do? Rumsfeld personally influenced the sexual conduct of a female interrogator with detainees in Gitmo. I find that demeaning as a female and appauling to realize such issues are supervised by a Secretary of Defense. He persoanlly supervised the sexual intimidation of Gitmo but not the antics and deaths at Abu Ghraib. There is something "W"rong with that analogy.
If 'the word' got around that Rumsfeld was personally overseeing sexual interrogations of detainees at Gitmo then I know where the Abu Ghraib prison guards got their ideas. There aren't that many female officers that would be in contact with prisoners. The 'tactics' in Gitmo received clout due to Rumsfeld involvement. Ms. England attempted to achieve in Baghdad what they were trying to achieve in Gitmo.

A dispute between the US and Canada over rights to shipping lanes through the North-West Passage flared up again this year, with Canada promising to step up its military presence to protect what it regards as its territory and the US sees as international waters. Norway and Russia are squabbling over the Barents Sea, while Denmark is eyeing the north pole itself.

Rather we have found that while tundra vegetation experienced an increase in both peak photosynthesis and growing season length between 1982 and 2003, many forested areas actually experienced a decline in photosynthetic activity and showed no systematic change in growing season length. Climatic warming occurred across the entire region, but the change in the forest response indicates that long-term changes may not be predictable from initial, short-term observations. Fire disturbance has also increased with the warming (see related section on this topic) but does not explain the decline in forest photosynthetic activity.
The segment about the Polar Bear was very well done. Want a truce? The War Party in the Oval Office hasn't surrended to Global Warming initiatives yet. Truces when it comes to saving a planet are dangerous alliances.
I appreciate the focus. Sincerely. You want to save lives? Then do it. Don't sponsor war or the people that advocate it. You cannot save a planet with chronic wars.
