Ms. Bigot minimizes lives

conti2005 - 7:32 PM ET September 7, 2005 (#71488 of 71492)Impeach Bush and Cheney ! Rove is their 'Front Man'

Propaganda. Propaganda. Did Rove have this planned to CYA?

It's Not a 'Blame Game'

The Propaganda Networks are trying to down play the devastation of Katrina. They are attempting to HIDE the tragedy of Bush/Cheney. You'll excuse me but I don't like citizens lives toyed with in propaganda campaigns of incompetents. It only goes to show the level of 'influence' this form of excrement thinks they have. They don't mind when government is so negligent that it murders it's own people.

Radar back in the day wasn't mildly perfected until 1935. .

...............

Radar was patented (British patent) in April, 1935.

..................

It wasn't used for weather forecasting for much, much later.

Since 1943 U.S. military aircraft have been flying into hurricanes to measure wind velocities and directions, the location and size of the eye, the pressures within the storms, and their thermal structure. A coordinated system of tracking hurricanes was developed in the mid-1950s, and periodic improvements have been made over the years.

Radar, sea-based recording devices, geosynchronous weather satellites (since 1966), and other devices now supply data to the NHC in Florida, which follows each storm virtually from the beginning. Improved systems of prediction and communication have been able to help minimize loss of life in hurricanes, but property damage is still heavy, especially in coastal regions.

Gilbert, a Category 5 storm that was the strongest hurricane to hit the western hemisphere in the 20th century, devastated Jamaica and parts of Mexico in 1988 with winds that gusted up to 350 km/hr (218 mph).

Cat 4 - Hugo - Landfall Charleston, SC - total deaths in the USA - 50.

Destructive hurricanes in recent U.S. history include the Category 4 storms Hugo (1989), which caused more than $4 billion in damage and more than 50 deaths,

Cat 5 - Andrew - South Florida - total deaths in the USA - 50

Andrew (1992), with more than $20 billion in damage, more than 50 deaths, and thousands left homeless;

Fran (1996), a Category 3 hurricane, with more than $3 billion in damage and 28 deaths.

Not since the 1950's have storms of this nature ever caused widespread deaths as Katrina has.

The reason.

Nobody cared about the Black Americans of New Orleans that lived in the most dangerous weather path in the country. NOW. The propaganda nut cases want to give 'The Party' a way OUT of their accounting for so much damage and death in the Gulf States.

"And tomorrow marks the 105th anniversary of the Galveston, Texas hurricane that destroyed the city and left about 8,000 people dead. The city of Galveston was rebuilt 5 feet higher than it was before. Should New Orleans do the same?"

THAT IS AN OUTRAGE !!!

In 1900. There was no Early Warning System for ANY weather, yet alone Global Warming Storms.

THEY ARE DOING THIS BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF DEAD BEING A MINIMUM OF 10,000.

Knock it off. I don't appreciate having my life and the lives of others minimized so it all can happen again !!!!
