ABM Treaty
If all remembers Bush wrote Putin at the beginning of his term to abandon the ABM Treaty and replace it with a three page document on Long Range Missiles. The reason is that now Rumsfeld's War Department can do research on Nuclear Weapons like Bunker Buster Bombs with Nuclear Warheads that will cause earthquakes in places like Afghanistan when they are dropped into 'believed to be' hide outs of the still renagade Osama bin Laden.
The Russian Parliament thinks Putin is so astounding for allowing this degradation of the ABM treaty they are making a permanent nest for Putin as the leadership of Russia

All that in addition to Bush/Rumsfeld willingness to look the other way as Pakistan sold nuclear weapons to countries like North Korea.

Why the acquittal?
Because Bush wasn't interested in providing access to witnesses for the prosecution to make a case with in cross examination. Ashcroft is the worst!

The NOW reality of a policy as ineffective as this is that North Korea is ?possibly? returning to the negotiation tables. India and Pakistan have not agreed on a peace initiative. Iraq's Downing Street Memo shows the personal ambitions of dictators, the civil war in Iraq is a reality DAILY with deaths in the double digits DAILY, the deprivation of the poor and middle class in the USA which is starting to look more and more like the military class of North Korea to be honest due to the exclusive focus of military aggression by the Bush/Cheney Administration.
